About Salt River Business Development

Salt River Business Development was established through the economic advancement of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC) and our commitment to prosper the future of the partnering native tribes and strengthen our local Arizona communities.

SRPMIC is rooted in Scottsdale, AZ, and was born through the shared vision, values and goals of the Onk Akimel O’Odham (Pima) and Xalychidom Piipaash (Maricopa) tribes. The 9-member council oversees a flourishing fellowship of over 11,000 members and 13 business enterprises; all of which result in over 21,000 jobs locally created and sustained.

Leadership

A Board of Directors appointed by the Tribal Council, consisting of five members, oversees SRBD and its subsidiaries. The membership includes the SRPMIC President, the Community Manager, the Community Treasurer, and two current members of the Community. The Board of Directors acts independently from the Community Council to oversee the long-term goals and strategies of the company.
